The article entitled “Parenthood as the Natural and Socio-legal Title to Raise Offspring in Accordance with the Norm of Canon 1136 of the 1983 Code of Canon Law” contains a description and characterisation of the special right of parents to raise their offspring on two counts: from the act of parenthood and from the fact that it arises from the relationship and bond of the parents and the offspring born to them with society. The above relations exist in particular with the Church and the State, for whom the family is a fundamental social component. Consequently, both institutions have a vital interest in the education of the offspring. And this is especially within the framework of their activities that a significant role is performed by foster families and the institution of adoption.
