In the Catholic Church together with universal law which determines life of Christians around the world, particular law exists which details and accommodates universal law to the reality of a specific diocese. One example of particular law can be a synodal legislation.
This article analyses regulations provided by the Second Diocesan Synod of the Diocese of Częstochowa regarding the relationship between pastors and parish vicars that work in the same parish. The first part of the article describes general image of the relations between priests and discusses the problem of rest time granted to them.
