
To supplement the extensive discussion of public procurement presented in this monographic issue, it is undoubtedly worth drawing attention to certain areas of criminal law. This branch of law aims to protect the proper course of all social relations, including public procurement procedures, which are discussed at length in this publication. Thestudy therefore characterises the most important criminal law solutions devoted to this matter in Polish law. The author presents the origins and historical and legal shape of the criminal provisions concerning the issue in question; he analyses in detail the current wording of Article 305 of the Criminal Code, which constitutes the foundation of criminal law protection in this regard, and also points out the interrelationship between this provision and Article 6 of the Act of 16 February 2007 on the protection of competition and consumers. The article concludes with a summary.
