Abstract

The Zwierzyniec Convent of the Norbertine Sisters in Cracow has been the home of many outstanding and holy nuns since its foundation. Among them, the figure of Sister Emilia Podoska deserves special attention and interest in the 19th century. This article looks at her life and work in the convent in Zwierzyniec. Her short stay in the convent was marked by a serious illness, which she accepted as a sacrifice for the rebirth and reform of the Order.
