As a result of the defeat of the November Uprising, 1831 ended the separateness of the Kingdom of Poland and ushered in a new period in the history of post-partition Poland. This period of conspiracies and independence conspiracies, closing in the years 1831- 1846, is primarily associated with the territory of Galicia, where conspiracy activists recruited both from local elements and from emigrants protecting themselves here from repression by the tsarist authorities, regarded Galicia as the most convenient terrain for preparing a new uprising against the partitioners. In this article, the author looks at the involvement of clerics and priests of the Przemyśl diocese in conspiratorial organizations.
