The person of Władysław the White, Duke of Gniewków, has attracted the attention of historians many times. The turbulent history of the prince's life was the subject of many, often quite extensive, studies. The aim of this article is to present the activities of the Duke of Kuyavia as manager (governor) of the Benedictine Abbey of St. Martin in Pannonhalma in Hungary, which he received from Louis the Great in 1377. It will also, to some extent, supplement the biography of Władysław the White, because this period in the life of the Kuyavian prince has been completely omitted by the current Polish historiography.
