On the occasion of the millennium of the Poznañ diocese, a religious mystery play entitled "The Life and Passion of the Five Martyr Brothers of the First Polish Diocese of Poznañ" was performed in the Archdiocesan Basilica in Poznañ. The script of the play, based on St Bruno of Kverfurt's description of the life and death of the Five Brothers, was prepared by Irena Byrska. The editors of Nasz Past published the text of the play in the magazine to commemorate the martyrdom of the Five Brothers, which took place in Miedzyrzecz in the then diocese of Poznan (until 1925) in 1003.
