The confraternity of canons and Cistercians was of a spiritual nature and only obliged them to pray for each other's deceased brothers. The list of deceased monks covers the years 1426-1644. On almost three pages of the obituary, the names, dates of death, and exceptionally also the surnames of 120 monks were written in different handwriting. The entries are very modest, rarely providing, apart from the name, the place of origin, the number of years lived in the monastery or in the monastery, and the functions performed by the deceased in the congregation and outside. Nevertheless, they constitute an interesting and important source for the history of the Mogila Cistercian abbey and the regular canons of the Corpus Christi monastery in Kazimierz.
