„A criminal in skirt” – selected aspects of female crime

Abstract

In the media stories about women-murderers are often presented. Author decided to look at this kind of crime – female crime. In order to share his observations, the author will at first point out the causes of this type of crime. He will point out that according to most contemporary criminologists, female crime should be explored in a multifactorial perspective. It involves identifying the conditions that show the connection with the behavior and investigating the interaction between them. In the mainstream of
such analyzes and reflections there are links of biological, psychological, and social factors. They form a specific situational syndrome, which, according to researchers, leads a woman towards criminal behavior.
