This work is a contribution to research on the history of the Kielce chapter. The period from the establishment of the Kielce diocese (1805) to the outbreak of the First World War (1914) was chosen to examine the pastoral activity of the Kielce chapter. The Kielce Chapter is one of the oldest in the country. It was not covered by the suppression of 1819 and exists to this day. In 1971 it celebrated its 800th anniversary. The pastoral activity of the Kielce chapter was divided into three chapters. The first one shows the changing fate of the Kielce chapter: its elevation to the cathedral dignity (1805), its return to the collegiate title (1818) and the subsequent restoration of the honorary cathedral title (1882). The second chapter illustrates and analyzes pastoral care with its wide range of forms: teaching, parish services, and the stewardship of the holy sacraments. The last chapter is devoted to brotherhoods, church associations, hospitality - special pastoral care of socio-cultural activities.
