Abstract

Catalogues of saints' miracles are a rich source of information about, among other things, the health of people in the Middle Ages. By analysing them, it is also possible to answer many questions about the health of children. This is the subject of the following study. On the basis of the miracles of the saints, it discusses the types of illnesses suffered by minors, their age and gender. The author is also interested in the question of the vows and sacrifices made by parents with the intention of healing or resurrecting their child, and the types of requests they made to the saints.
