Lublin province did not belong to those in which the seats in Parliament were willingly entrusted to the magnates. The local nobility seeing the Senate as a place completely dominated by the richest part of the privileged to the Sejm usually sent the local owners of land properties. However, in the analyzed period exceptions to this rule was made and magnates who have worthily represented their province had been elected. It should be noted that deputies from this elite group of citizens belonged to the extremely active in the work of parliament, while the sphere of their activities mainly included the issues important for the state. The magnates’ involvement in the debates of the Sejm and their will to apply for a seat in Parliament depended largely on the importance of the issues that have to be taken into deliberations during the term of office of the General Sejm, growing in times of breakthrough to disappear during periods of adverse changes.
