Geopolityczne znaczenie obszaru GIUK dla sojuszu NATO

Abstrakt

Celem niniejszej publikacji jest odpowiedź na pytanie, jakie są korzenie myśli geopolitycznej obecnych ośrodków decyzyjnych NATO w odniesieniu do obszaru GIUK oraz jak wpływa to na obecną myśl strategiczną sojuszu. Autor porusza również kwestię obecnej polityki obronnej państw sojuszniczych NATO, które są bezpośrednio zaangażowane w strukturę rejonu GIUK. Próbuje ponadto zwrócić uwagę na zagrożenia, jakie mogą czekać sojusz NATO w rejonie Północnego Atlantyku i obszarze arktycznym
w związku z imperatywami Federacji Rosyjskiej odnośnie do Arktyki oraz wobec odradzającej się potęgi Chińskiej Republiki Ludowej, aktywnie zainteresowanej zdobyciem przyczółka arktycznego.
