Speech therapists are constantly faced with the necessity of searching for effective and at the same time interesting therapeutic methods for children. A creative speech therapist is one who is constantly looking for new methods in his/her therapeutic work. Speech therapy classes are held both in individual and group form. Group speech therapy classes have many advantages as they foster relationships between children. Besides, students with speech disorders, while practising with peers, do not feel isolated due to their speech problems. Group classes are interesting for children if the speech therapist offers interesting games and activities. In schools attended by children of different nationalities, it is necessary to conduct the classes in such a way that all the students can participate and that they prove beneficial to the entire group. The authors of this text look for inspiration in didactics when searching for therapeutic methods for group speech therapy classes. The article presents the possibilities of applying selected teaching methods during group speech therapy classes, presenting proposals in the following categories: methods of an integrative nature, methods that develop vocabulary, methods that improve syntactic skills and methods that improve pronunciation. The presented methods, borrowed from didactics, represent only a limited selection of methods that can be used after adaptation in speech therapy. Speech therapists should be encouraged to continue searching for therapeutic methods not only in the field of didactics.
