The subject of this article is the presentation of historical wooden churches in the diocese of Przemyśl. They did not survive a separate scientific study. Almost all the surviving historical churches of the diocese were inventoried as part of the work of the Institute of Arts of the Polish Academy of Sciences on the "Catalogue of Historical Art in Poland", and the oldest of them (from the 15th and 16th centuries) were studied in more detail as part of the Institute's work on the documentation of wooden sacral architecture in Poland. The "Catalogue of Historical Wooden Churches of the Przemyśl Diocese", which were built in the present territory of the diocese in the years 1851-1974, was attached to the article as an appendix. It contains the current state of knowledge and research (as of 1976) and gives an idea of the extent of damage to the historical material discussed.
