Abstract

The author of this sketch attempted to outline the figure of his Master and Teacher, wishing to express his gratitude for generously providing his students with the results of his own research, for skillfully broadening their horizons and instilling in them respect for knowledge. Father Bolesław Przybyszewski Ph.D., professor at the Pontifical Faculty of Theology in Krakow, celebrates this year the fiftieth anniversary of his priesthood and fifty years of scientific work. The venerable birthday boy was born on September 13, 1908 in Skrzeszowice (Kraków urban voivodeship). He passed his high school leaving examination at the junior high school. Bartłomiej Nowodworski in Krakow on May 23, 1828, after which he entered the Metropolitan Theological Seminary in Krakow. In the years 1928-1933, he studied theology at the Faculty of Theology of the Jagiellonian University and on April 29, 1933, he was ordained a priest by Metropolitan Prince Adam Stefan Sapieha. The scientist, associated with the pontifical university since 1963, is a worthy successor of great scientists, professors of the Faculty of Theology of the Jagiellonian University and the University of Lviv, in the field of church art and Christian archaeology.
