Abstract

Father S. Ludwik Królik defends himself against Krystyna Kuźmak's allegations regarding his scientific work. Kuźmak accused him of plagiarism, claiming that Królik had copied fragments from the works of other authors, such as K. Kuźmak, J. Kłoczowski, B. Kumor, A. Petrani, M. Brudzisz and A. Weiss. Królik denies this accusation, arguing that he used available sources, which is natural in scientific research. He refutes specific accusations regarding seminaries, monasteries, brotherhoods, the territory of the diocese, the organization of the Lutsk and Brest dioceses and other issues, emphasizing that he cites and attributes authors in accordance with scientific principles. He also indicates that the work extracts knowledge about the Lutsk diocese, discovering previously unknown documents and information. Father Królik asks Krystyna Kuźmak who before him dealt in such detail with the organization of the Łuck and Brest dioceses and who conducted extensive source research. He emphasizes that his work has brought knowledge about the Lutsk diocese to Polish science, which was previously lacking. Ultimately, he emphasizes that Kuźmak's allegations are unjustified and groundless, and the accusations of plagiarism are groundless because he followed scientific principles and cited sources in accordance with methodological requirements.
