The article concerns the history of the Roman Catholic parish of Dylągowo in eastern Małopolska - in an area culturally, religiously and politically diverse - during the Soviet and German occupation. The number of Roman Catholic Christians was less than 30 percent of the total population. Life problems typical of the occupation period were mixed with growing ethnic conflict in this area. The author deals with the history of the church and parish, describes the pastors working there and their work. He devotes much attention to the living conditions and diverse activities of believers - their religious, moral, social and political life. The forms and activities of religious organizations and the resistance movement, which were directed against both Germans and Ukrainians, were presented.
