The article presents general confession as one of the most important
tasks of the Congregation of Missionary Fathers. It is linked to the three main pillars
of the spirituality of this community founded by St Vincent de Paul, which are: mission
(parish missions and foreign missions ad gentes), charity (charitable work) and
formation (preparation for the good fulfilment of vocation). The practice of general
confession bears fruit not only in personal life, but also in social life, for through
personal conversion, it improves the moral condition of the entire community of
believers, which is the Church.
