The aim of this article is to present the empirical-praxeological paradigm as a methodological proposal for theological and pastoral research. The starting point is the assumption that elaborate models based mainly on theoretical and normative reflection do not always allow for a sufficiently adequate description and interpretation of the dynamically changing pastoral reality. The proposed paradigm shifts the focus of research from an extensive theoretical component to a synthetic status questionis, empirical analysis and praxeological conclusions. The fundamental research question concerns the extent to which such a model can serve as an adequate tool for analysing contemporary pastoral reality and whether it meets the current requirements of interdisciplinary research. The article outlines the assumptions, structure and research potential of the proposed paradigm, indicating that it can serve as a basis for clear and practically oriented analyses within pastoral theology. The conclusions show that the empirical-praxeological model facilitates the integration of theological reflection with empirical diagnosis and the formulation of concrete pastoral recommendations.
