Algunas indicaciones metodológicas para la comprensión de la mística

Abstract

«Mística» y «experiencia mística» son términos tan ambiguos que exigen no solo la precisión, sino aun la construcción de toda una teoría que explicaría su significativa multidimensionalidad. El presente artículo ofrece ciertas indicaciones metodológicas para crear una teoría de la mística y, al mismo tiempo, centra su atención en los aspectos a tener en cuenta a la hora de hablar adecuadamente de la mística. El contenido de la presente suposición se basa en gran manera en los pensamientos del teólogo y teórico de la mística Bernard McGinn. Este investigador en sus publicaciones subraya una serie de importantes aspectos de la mística, a las que pertenecen sobre todo su contexto religioso y su carácter procesal. En esta perspectiva la esencia de la mística aparece como como una vivencia directa de la Presencia de Dios y no menos importante es su expresión en el lenguaje de una cultura dada. Por lo tanto, la categoría tradicional de la «experiencia mística» parece insuficiente y pide ser cambiada por otra, la más adecuada, la de la «consciencia mística» e incluso la de la «meta-consciencia transpersonal».
