The town and parish of Jastrząb, established in the 15th century, are an example of the activities of the Krakow bishops as hosts and pastors, taking care of the development and management of the estates under their control. The article particularly paid attention to the role of bishops Wojciech Jastrzębiec, as the organizer of the episcopal center in the town of Jastrząb, to which he moved the parish from a neighboring town, and the successor of Zbigniew Oleśnicki, who ensured the implementation of his predecessor's intentions.
