The article concerns issues related to the secular clergy of the Bratslav deanery in the Uniate diocese of Kiev in the pre-partition period. Attention was also paid to some problems related to the existence and service of Uniate clergy. Future research should pay particular attention to the relationship between lay collaborators and Uniate clergy. It is hoped that the article will be an opportunity to learn about one of the most important aspects of the social history of the pre-partition Republic of Poland, in which the Uniate clergy, as a social group, certainly played a certain role.
