Abstract

This article is an attempt to present and comment only partially on one of the oldest and at the same time most important inventories - the chronicle of the monastery - the hermitage of the Discalced Carmelites of Czerna. It is of particular importance that for more than 370 years the Carmelites of Czerna, thanks to their constant perseverance in prayer and work, with great care and diligence saved this oldest written source from destruction, allowing us to delve into their history and daily life, which has become an invaluable study material about their order and monastery.
