The subject of this article is a brief study of the history of the churches in Stryszów and Zakrzów. The text points out that from the 14th century a wooden church dedicated to St Anne served as the parish church of Zakrzów, covering a large parish for several centuries. At the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries the parish of Zakrzów was abolished and the church of St Anne remained under the administration of parish priests from Stryszów until 1720. In that year the parish priest of Stryszów, Father Błażej Karpiński, built a new wooden church of St Anne. The church remained under the administration of the parish priests of Stryszów until 1907. From 1907 to 1935 the temple in Zakrzów served as a parish church. After 1935 the wooden church ceased to be used for religious purposes. It was dismantled and moved to Harenda near Zakopane. In the same year a brick church dedicated to St Anne was built, which still serves as the parish church in Zakrzów.
