Study on the influence of a writer's lying position on the overall image of handwriting

Abstract

There is enormous variety of factors affecting the range of changeability of handwriting. A handwriter’s position is one of the set. The authors analysed the influence of a handwriter’s lying position on his/her graphic realization. They distinguished four handwriting features that are more likely to change in lying position (in comparison with sitting position). The outcomes may be useful for handwriting identification in forensic experts’ practice.
