Claim as a genre of official text – preliminary assumptions

Abstract

The work attempts to characterize the claim in terms of structural, pragmatic, cognitive and stylistic aspects. The writ, undoubtedly classified as an official species, shows features of application and is subject to a formal structure. Its occurrence is limited only to judicial institutions. The crude form of this species rejects the generally accepted use in courtesy requests. However, in its most important part - the justification - the claim turns out to be a highly individualized creature, depending on the linguistic and legal competence of the author. In this regard, the author himself determines his style, which depends on his living situation and accompanying emotions.
