Pastoral and charitable activities of the clergy during natural disasters in Upper Silesia

Abstract

In the past, natural disasters and the epidemics that usually accompanied them posed a particularly dangerous threat to individuals and entire populations. In the former Prussian Monarchy, these scourges affected the population of Upper Silesia the longest and most severely. In the following article, the author examines the various forms of assistance provided by the clergy during natural disasters in Upper Silesia.
