The Płoki parish has gained an extraordinary position in the Chrzanów region thanks to its church, where the image of the Blessed Virgin Mary has been famous for its graces for hundreds of years. For this reason, the Płoki parish deserves to be looked at based on certain historical facts. The Chrzanów Land was inhabited by people early and was also exploited by them from the treasures it had at its disposal. The proximity of Krakow and the existing possible living conditions were the reason for such early inhabitation and development of this land by humans. In this area, the Catholic religion, and therefore the Catholic Church, was adopted and took root quite early. Wooden or brick churches existed in the region as early as the 12th or 14th century. The parish of Płoki was established at the beginning of the 14th century, probably in 1314. This time, or even much earlier, should also be used to establish the church in Płoki.
