As unknown documents concerning most of the Brigittine convents in Poland have been coming to light, it will soon be necessary to rewrite the history of the Order. This paper deals with a recent discovery of a small archive holding which belonged to the Warsaw convent and manuscript E9 from Altomunster in Bavaria. The claims made on the basis of the latter are shown to be based on fantasy rather than well-founded research.
