The press was an important element of the pastoral work of the Catholic Church in the Second Polish Republic. Along with its development, there was also a development of the media doctrine expressed in the teaching of the Church and in Catholic journalism. Both opportunities and threats related to universal access to this medium of social communication were emphasized.
